Industries focus
We invest in those sectors that we understand well. These include games (any platform, non-casual games), tools and infrastructure for gaming, consumer AI, web3, and occasionally other tech sectors.
More than capital
Seed to Series A
We provide operational, marketing support and intellectual rights guidance to ensure the long-term success of our portfolio companies.
Normally we would come in when startups have first paying customers and/or raised their first investment. Exception for traction are game developers and publishers.
Founders-focused
Partners in our fund are all entrepreneurs and angel investors prior to starting Gamegroove Capital. We can walk the talk.
Our co-investors
We continue to follow on in funding rounds, and our portfolio companies have successfully raised capital from prominent investors. These include Republic Capital, Shima Capital, CoinFund, Avalanche’s Blizzard Fund, RW3 Ventures, KuCoin Ventures, and Morningstar Ventures. Also, we invest alongside world-class game developers and publishers like Activision Blizzard and Animoca Brands, top-tier game-focused VC funds such as Griffin Gaming Partners, and notable angel investors like Justin Kan, co-founder of Twitch.
Meet the team
Gamegroove Capital was founded by Alexander Zoll and Vlad Korolov, serial tech entrepreneurs and veteran game developers, who created games played by 140 million users worldwide.
After a successful career in digital banking, where Vlad developed an IT system used by 40+ institutions, he transitioned to the video game industry. He co-founded Plink, Gunzilla Games, and Gamegroove Capital, aiming to create innovative solutions for gamers and other related industries.
